Mixer Module
The PCDJ FX Mixer section is designed both for those who
don't have an external mixer and even for those who do.
This mixer section has many features including Crossfading,
Player Volume Control, Main/Cue Volume Control, Cue Mix
Control, Parametric 3-Band EQ Killer, and Adjustable Compressor.
Player Volume Sliders
The volume slider on the left is for Player A and the
volume slider on the right is for Player B. Sliders at
the top provide 100% of the signal while at the bottom
provide 0%.
Crossfader
The crossfader slides horizontally to fade between Player
A and B adjusting their volumes.
Crossfader Slam Left/Right, Step Left/Right, Center
Buttons
The Slam Left/Right buttons are used to jump to each side
of the crossfader. The Step Left/Right buttons slowly
fade the crossfader in each direction. The Center Button
Centers the crossfader.
CUE Buttons
The Cue buttons will light up when selected and will send
either Player A or Player B or both to the Cue Mix for
pre-listening in headphones.
Main Volume Slider
This slider controls the Main Output Volume of PCDJ FX.
Cue Volume Slider
This slider controls the Cue Volume of whatever is selected
in Cue.
Cue Mix Slider
This slider acts as a crossfader for the Cue Output of
PCDJ FX mixing the Cue Volume and the Main Output Volume
to pre-listen a mix. Note: If the Cue Mix Slider is fully
right, you will only hear the Main Output and nothing
in Cue.
VU Meters/Compressor
The Left VU Meter shows the level of whatever is in Cue.
The Right VU Meter shows the level of the Main Output.
The two triangles beside the Main VU Meter set the parameters
for the Compressor's Threshold(Blue) and Gain(Orange).
The C Button toggles the Compressor on/off.
Parametric 3-Band EQ Killer
Each player has 3 vertical sliders controlling Band volume,
3 KILL Buttons allowing each Band to be cut. Use of this
EQ Killer to isolate vocals as well as normal EQ operations
will be detailed later.
