Record Case Module
The FX Recordcase has been designed with new features
to make it even easier to organize your music and access
it fast. Features include resizable title bars, Ripp,
Scan and waitlist views. Also an added drag and drop feature
for easy group creation.
Main View
The record case main view is organized by groups and subgroups.
Groups appear on the left, and subgroups appear on the
right. There is an edit record case button at the top
of the groups list. This button opens a detailed view
which is used for building the record case structure,
and for managing waitlists. Record
Case Modes
The record case has 4 different modes which are independent
views. The different record case modes can be accessed
by buttons on the command bar. Exiting a record case
mode, by clicking a second time on the mode button,
returns the display to main record case view.
Scan
View
The scan view displays the status of songs in the BPM
scan que. Individual songs, entire sub groups, or entire
groups can be added to the scan view using a right click
option in the record case main view. Scanning can be
paused, and songs can be added or removed from the scan
que at any time.
Ripp
View
The ripp view displays CD tracks for as many as 8 installed
CD drives. Entire CD's, or individual tracks, can be
selected for ripping on multiple CD's. A ripping destination
can be set for each track in advance. By default, the
ripp folder for all tracks is set to the current group
and subgroup. An internet based CD Database is automatically
checked to pull down tag information.
Waitlist
View
An unlimited number of waitlists can be created and
viewed in the wait list view. Waitlists are displayed
on the left side of the record case. The waitlist play
order is from the top down. Individual waitlist can
be reordered using drag and drop. The songs of a particular
wait list are displayed in the right hand view. Songs
can also be rearranged using drag and drop.
Find
View
The find view searches for songs based on tag matches.
Individual tags can be matched, or a search can be performed
using the "all tags" field to search for a
match on any tag.
General
Imrovements
Several additional columns have been added to the record
case view to support many different tags. Columns can
be reordered or resized using drag and drop. The display
can be customized using a right click option to show
or hide particular columns. A selection bar has been
added to the left hand side of the record case. The
selection bar numbers the songs, and allows for standard
shift select and control select functionality. Tags
can be edited in place in the record case by double
clicking on a tab.
